High Society episode 12 started off with Ji Yi talking with her landlord as she wanted to kick out JI Yi out of her house. Yoon Ha who sense the weird situation from the beginning step in and help Ji Yi in dealing with her landlord telling her that they could sue her for kicking Ji Yi out of her apartment quickly. The Landlord then agree not to do it anymore.
Yoon Ha asked JI Yi as to who could be the person to do such thing to her. Ji Yi was able to instantly think of Chan Soo's mother but didn't said it to Yoon Ha. She decided to be positive despite of her situation telling Yoon Ha that whatever the case, she will strive more for the next days as she have to earn money t make a living. Besides, this mentality kept her alive all this time especially with the state of being poor.
Chan Soo on the other hand was confronted by his mother showing pictures of him and Ji Yi dating that day. She asked him if he really intends to hurt Ji Yi as she have warned him already about it. She said that she will keep on making JI Yi's life miserable if he will continue his behavior. Chan Soo then said that he and Ji Yi have broken up with each other and so, his mother should not be concern of Ji Yi anymore.
As Chan Soo returned to his room, he received a text message to Ji Yi telling him that it's about time for them to stop filming a movie or, stop their relationship. Chan Soo didn't reply to her message. He was seen looking sad about that text message and suddenly remember Joon Gi's words to him; telling him that it is not his family that is stopping him to see Ji Yi but it is himself, as he can't stand the class difference between him and Ji Yi.
Staying true to her positivity, Ji Yi decided to call Chan Soo's mother. In this call, she told her that maybe, they could meet the next morning. In that case, she will surely tell her the words she wanted to hear. Feeling dared, Chan Soo's mother agree with Ji Yi.
On another note of the story, Yoon Ha approached her sister to cofront her about the whereabout of their brother. Yoon Ha told her that she has evidences of the manipulative injustice done by their company. Her sister told her that such information are useless since the case was already considered close. Yoon Ha on the other hand stand to her belief and still dared her sister that she will expose the information if needed.
Yoon Ha then called her mother's butler asking him if he has additional information upon the investigation about Joon Gi. She was hoping for manipulative intentions but the butler told her that there were nothing more special. Joon Gi and his family are ordinary.
The next day, Ji Yi and Joon Gi met when they enter the office. Ji Yi happily greeted Joon Gi as if nothing is going on between him and her bestfriend. Ji Yi said that she is knowledgeable about what happen to Yoon Ha and Joon Gi but still, remain her cheerful words.
A halt to the ascending elevator was made before the door even close. It was Yoon Ha.
Ji Yi naturally invited Yoon Ha to enter the elevator but she refused to.
In a split second, Yoon Ha changed her mind and enter the elevator. It was JI Yi between them that is feeling suffocated and nervous to be in between the two.
Yoon Ha and Joon Gi got off on the same floor. Before Yoon Ha can go anymore farther away to Joon Gi, he confessed that he was also the one who created about Yoon Ha, a chaebol daughter being a part-timer. Yoon Ha wasn't even surprise about the news.
But then, she asked as to why he did such thing. He said that it is to push her to go back home. He also said that it is for her own good since she is young and might be too aggressive to her decisions. He doesn't want her to lose everything she have.
Yoon Ha was not convinced with all the kind advices that Joon Gi was saying. She also didn't believe his concern for her asking him "why" as in why would he be concern. Joon Gi answered, "what else" which means that he is concern about her because he love her.
That day was also the day that Ji Yi met Chan Soo's mother, as how they agreed. Ji Yi told her that there is nothing going on between her and Chan Soo anymore so she doesn't have to worry and look for her. She also jokingly said that if she were to keep looking for her because of Chan Soo, she might even like her instead. Her mother was a little speechless of her.
At lunch, Ji Yi asked Joon Gi is she could join him, he agreed so. Yoon Ha saw them happily eating opposite each other which she just looked on and went to another table.
After lunch, Ji Yi and Yoon Ha had a little chat. Yoon Ha pinpointed how close Ji Yi and Joon Gi are. Ji Yi answered her by saying that not because Yoon Ha is angry with Joon GI, it means that she have to be angry too. In the first place, she already like Joon Gi as a person way before they were into a relationship. Yoon Ha agreed to that.
But then, Yoon Ha asked Ji Yi is she were going overboard with her attitute towards him. Ji Yi told her she do pinpointing that she herself didn't say anything when Yoon Ha hid her identity of being a chebol. Yoon Ha argued again by saying that her intention were true though to her, that she truly likes her. Ji Yi asked if why Yoon Ha didn't think that Joon Gi really likes her pointing out that he really likes her.
Ji Yi and Chan Soo accidentally met each other at Yoon Ha's office when Ji Yi have to deliver some documents and Chan Soo was waiting for Yoon Ha for a meeting. Ji Yi bowed and told him her point of getting into the office. Chan Soo however brought back the topic of their break up. Ji Yi told him that is was still like filming a movie and so, they have to end it. The conversation didn't last long as Yoon Ha enter the office. She invited Ji Yi for dinner later that day but she refused to.
Joon Gi saw Ji YI crying that night because of Chan Soo and so he invited her for some soju. On the other hand, Chan Soo and Yoon Ha are also out for some dinner.
The last scene shows Joon Gi and Ji Yi. Joon Gi was taking Ji Yi home because she was too drunk. She was about to stumble when Joon Gi helped her. On the other side was Yoon Ha and Chan Soo who seems like waiting for Ji Yi. Chan Soo was pissed off to see Ji Yi with Joon Gi. He insists of talking to her but she didn't want to. Suddenly, Joon Gi intervened by holding Ji Yi's wrist and stopping Chang Soo telling him that he shouldn't force her to talk to him because she doesn't want to.
This episode for me emphasize how Ji Yi's character is so adorable. I love how she keeps her cool and positive attitude towards Chan Soo's mother. Her way of being sarcastic to her is both respectful and mocking. I also love how she kept her friendship with Joon Gi pointing out that yeah he might have deceived Yoon Ha but it doesn't mean that she also have to be angry at him. Ji Yi shines to me in this episode more thant Yoon Ha. We can see how her positivity turn the tables of the story.
This episode also shows glimpse of scenes that makes the viewers realize how sincere Joon Gi's feelings are for Yoon Ha. I am surprised and at the same time amazed as how he still told her his other wrong doing, as if confessing everything to her. I love how he just shows off her true self; the good and the bad, and how do these things make him a more humane character.
One thing that I also saw in this episode is that exchanged of partners. The poor to the poor and the rich to the rich. It shows how easier for the same class characters to communicate with each other; easier that what they do before. I can see alliance between classes, going against the other partners. But I can also see the pain of how the characters look at each other's eyes inflicting how painful it is to see their loveone on the other side of the picture.
