The Time We were not in love episode 3 started off with Oh Ha Na and Choi Won talking about Sung Jae and how he offered Ha Na an umbrella that afternoon when it was raining. Ha Na admitted that her heart flutters when Sung Jae does that but Won argued that she should not exaggerated with that act of kindness.; it may not mean anything for Sung Jae. Nonetheless, Won told Ha Na that if ever Sung Jae were to tell that he cannot live without Ha Na, she should still give him a chance.
On the next day, Ha Na received a little note from Sung Jae cheering her up for the day ahead her which made her flutter once again.
Sung Jae then entered the room informing Ha Na that he have organized a number of files for her. Ha Na checks her computer but wasn't able to see it. Sung Jae then helped her causing both to be physically close to each other. Ha Na felt awkward once again with her heart fluttering to their closeness. But she tried to control her feelings.
On the next scene, Ha Na and Won are seen eating dinner in a restaurant. They were chatting and catching up with each other when So Eun (Won's hoobae) called Won asking as to what he is doing. In the middle of their conversation, Ha Na told Won to invite So Eun to come over and have dinner with them. Won then invited So Eun to come over. Ha Na was seen checking out So Eun at the beginning of her arrival but welcomed her otherwise. So Eun also saw how close Ha Na and Won as they playfully fought over a talk of scallions.
At the end of their dinner, So Eun was drunk that Won has to support her. Won asked Ha Na to wait for him as he will bring So Eun home and will get back to her to bring her home as well. Ha Na disagreed telling him that there is someone who will bring her home. A moments after, Sung Jae arrived at the area startling Won. So Eun through her drunkeness asked if Sung Jae is Ha Na's boyfriend, Sung Jae hold her hand and tell her that he indeed is. Won and Ha Na exchanged looks which shows that it is not true.
Because of her drunkeness, So Eun offended Ha Na a little calling her a coy since she denied earlier when they were eating that she doesn't have any boyfriend. Ha Na said that those kind of words are meant to be exchanged for close friends only. So Eun instantly aplogized. Ha Na also apologized telling her that she was a little sensitive at the moment.
The four depart ways after. Won brought So Eun home while Sung Jae does the same to Ha Na going as what they planned. Sung Jae asked Ha Na if her romantically like Won but Ha Na denied the claim saying they are very close friends. Ha Na was about to give some money to Sung Jae for him to take a taxi but he refuse to accept it. They happily then depart ways.
As they depart ways, it was seen that a co-worker of Ha Na and Sung Jae from the designing team saw the two together mistaking the situation as if they are dating.
On the other side of the picture, So Eun and Won made another round of drinking and eating at So Eun's house with a little conversation about So Eun's family. Won get up from his seat when he hit a small container of soju spilling it to his jeans. Won then went to So Eun's bathroom to wash the spilled Soju.
Ha Na, now back at her home was a little bothered with her behavior earlier and tried to call Won with the intention of asking him about So Eun. But So Eun was heard speaking while Ha Na was calling Won. Ha Na was a little shock that Won was still at So Eun's house at that late night hour. Ha Na then hang up the phone and asked him to call her when he gets home. She was seen a little piss off with the situation and when she got to her bed, she put her phone close to her waiting for Won's call.
Won on the other hand, decided no to call her.
The next day, rumors about Sung Jae and Ha Na dating spread like a wildfire in the office. Everyone was talking about how Ha Na decided to have a relationship with an intern. Instead of confronting them because of their misunderstanding. Ha Na still smile and sweetly talk to Sung Jae igniting their misunderstanding. The co-workers were speechless with such behavior but Ha Na was not bothered of any of those.
Sung Jae and Ha Na went on a trip to have a business deal. The deal was successful with the help of clever planning of Ha Na. Because of this, they finished their work early and have a little date. They also planned that they will see the ocean the next morning.
Ha Na planned to sleep with Sung Jae that night. While sneaking up to his room and searching for him, Ha Na overheard the conversation that Sung Jae was finding out that he is just using her for him to have a permanent position in the company.
Ha Na confronted Sung Jae telling him that she is not close with him and will not take care of him. Ha Na then left Sung Jae saying that they will no longer see the ocean the next morning.
Ha Na cried because of what happened feeling betrayed by a man once again. She called Won about her situation and how she was tricked by Sung Jae. She walked the streets of the area crying.
Ha Na ended up in a small children's playground. She was crying while sitting in a swing when rain starts to fall. She cried more because of her pathethic situation. But, it was unexpected and she was shocked when Won was there standing beside her offering his coat so that Ha Na will not get sick because of the rain.
This chapter focuses the development between the Sung Jae- Oh Ha Na story and So Eun - Choi Won love story. As narrated, Sung Jae and Oh Ha Na relationship did not end well as Sung Jae have a different motive of Ha Na and she have discovered it. I am personally shocked of this motive. I never expected that behind those smiles of Sung Jae is a different side of him. It really hurts me myself while watching since it is shown that Ha Na is very much confident about him. It was a really depressing scene but gladly, she was able to get out of it right away. Still, I am anticipating something to shis couple.
On the other hand, the So Eun- Choi Won love team have a different kind of story. I am starting to feel annoy of So Eun because of her stealing Won's attention. But then, I think, it was because the character is thinking that Won is ready and available to be in a relationship. Her character was quite annoying but still I can see some purity into her.
The best part of this episode is the last part. I am amused as how Won still went for Ha Na with just one call. Impliying that he left So Eun for Ha Na. It's a big step for this two and I am so loving Won with all his care and love for Ha Na.
